I purchased my a home from Pulte in 2005 in HHSC, and there were a few problems with the house, but they fixed all of them before settlement. I lived in the home for 5 years and had no problem with warranty work during the 5 years.

I purchased another Pulte home and again there were some problems, but they came and fixed all of them. All my calls were returned and the contractors came on the date and time Pulte promised. Also, I have noticed, if you treat the Pulte representatives, sales people and their contractors with respect, you get more service that is good.

I know some of the people in my new community, are always complaining about something. My answer is, "no one put a gun to your head and made you purchase the home" and if you don't like the home or community, then move and have a custom home built. All builders are the same, it is not just Pulte, so get over it and enjoy life, it is too short.

My fiance who is a Katrina and in the miltary purchased a Pulte home in 2006 in the Hanover subdivision in Hanover Cove, San Antonio, Texas. Two years later major problems started to occur with the foundation including doors not shutting properly and cracks in the foundation.

She called an outside foundation company who gave her an estimate in the area of $20,000. When I moved in in June of 2011, not only were the previous problems not fixed but more problems started to occur. For example, a crack of seven to eight feet long occured in the span of ONE WEEK. Previous cracks starting to get worse.

Once again we called a Pulte representative. They did respond by sending one of their engineers to see what if any foundations problems might be occuring. About two weeks later, Pulte sent out a CSR only to be told that is was "natural settling" and that they were not going to fix the problems.

UPDATE PULTE...In our second bathroom the trim boards along the floor are separating from the wall and the bathroom tub has separated from the wall. We cannot move because of these problems and no one will buy this house after we disclose the problems.

Do us and my fiance a favor.

Buy our house back so we can get on with our lives. As a member of the military for over twenty-four years she protects your rights, the least you can do is do the right thing and buy this house back.

The reason everything is not done right is because Pulte subcontracts to the cheapest bidding contractor. The contractors than subcontract to other non-licensed handy man to do work under the contractor's license.

Everyone takes a cut and the non licensed person does the work. Since Pulte is a large company and has influence with city officials over looking code violations.

Than of course Pulte takes the largest cut. It's sad, but it's true!!

Sorry to hear of your concerns. I'm from Pulte Homes and we've gotten this information to the local team -- if they haven't already, they should be getting in contact with you very soon.
